Our story

Built to serve generations.

What began as a small community in Deepdale in 1970 is now a masjid, an education centre, a nursery, a SEND provision, an academy and a registered charity — six arms serving the same neighbourhood.

1970

Roots in Preston

The Quwwatul Islam community is established in Deepdale, Preston.

2000s

Education grows

Madrasah and nursery provision expand to serve hundreds of local families.

2023

Quwwat Foundation

A registered charity (#1208658) formalises the welfare and fundraising arm.

2026

One platform

Six arms — worship, education, and welfare — come together under one Quwwat.

On site

Building for the future.

Our facilities continue to grow alongside the needs of the community. Work is under way on the new Quwwat Academy building, on the plot across the road from the Education Centre.
